Maui Kaunoa Seniors dance at the ranch!
The 4th group of senior adventurers from Maui's Kaunoa program were guests at the ranch this week. They came for a 'taste' of Molokai.... and ranch chef, Adam Snyder, did not dissapoint! From pupus upon arrival all the way to a 'Cinco de Mayo' departure lunch.... he rocked their taste buds with the ranch's amazingly fresh produce, organic beef and wild venison - all prepared with his special touch. The food experience at the ranch is one of the reasons they continue to return.
During this visit, a rainy day side tracked their typical mid morning hike, so three local Molokai women came out to 'exercise' the group, teaching everyone how to 'hot hula'! Fun, exercise and education all rolled into one, especially the laughter and fun! Fortunately the next day provided great hiking weather and off they went. After (another) ranch meal, they headed to cape halawa for an opportunity to experience the ranch's makai side.
As they left the ranch to head back home, they stopped to visit the Keawanui fishpond on their way to kaunakakai to pick up their fresh bread to take home on the ferry. hopefully they will continue to enjoy visiting us for many years to come.
