Pu'u O Hoku Farm is dedicated to growing HOFA certified organic papayas, bananas, awa, and vegetables, as well as organic, grass fed, pasture raised beef. Bio-Dynamic principals drive our Ranch operations, and as such, all the farm fields and pasture lands are slowly being converted to Bio-Dynamic practices.
The lands are managed for sustainability and conservation; no chemicals have been used on the Ranch for over 20 years. All livestock are treated with homeopathic remedies; their pastureland is cared for under a holistic framework. Rotational grazing is practiced in order to promote a diversified and healthy landscape. Our objective is to grow healthy, mineralized, and biologically active soils. In turn, healthy soils build healthy food and grass, which then builds healthy animals and people. We manage our resources to make the web of life as complete and holistic as possible utilizing the bountiful resources available to us within the ranch boundaries. Our goal is to manage with conservation principals and practices in mind and to manage our resources as one system from mountain to ocean including the corral reefs. We believe nature is our best teacher and strive to follow her rules. We strive to grow the best tasting and most nutritional dense food possible by managing our soils and resources properly. We believe that food isn't just food - it holds a connection between the earth and the natural/cosmic system we live in. It is our job to create balanced conditions in which all living things can prosper. ![]() We encourage our guests to experience food that is grown and marketed locally, without the addition of synthetic chemicals or processing.
